COATINGS IN TUNGSTEN CARBIDE
This facing is used for wiredrawers cones and rings; it's compact and not porous as it's (casting). It's an excellent facing for valve seats, shafts for rotating pumps, endless screws, plastic extrusion machines. Disadvantages: the components has to be warmed up till 850 °C, so can be affected by distortion. Advantages: water-proof and impermeable with materials that are not corrosive for cromel and tungsten carbide. |

CERAMIC COATINGS
CrO2 facings are more lasting and abrasion-resistant. For safety reasons, as CrO2 at the sublimation temperature makes (esavalente) chrome, extremely toxic and carcinogenic, during the (plasmatura), is replaced by Tentorio with a blend of inert oxide refractory "COSIDE", a bit harder but less thick than CrO2. Disadvantages: facings are micro-porous, in presence of water or compounds the inner base can oxidize or change composition although the phenolic sealing. |
